Hi:

I installed Advancedlauncher and am stuck in a force close loop. I can make and receive calls, get to apps in the notification bar, camera etc but can't get to the menu/settings to uninstall Advanced launcher. I've looked at the Home Apps loop posts and they refer to reflashing the stock rom and odin but I can't seem to find instructions on how to download or reflash the phone.

  Any suggestions?

Can you get into the market app?  If so, find Advancedlauncher and long-press on the app and it will give you a choice to uninstall.  I hope this works for you.

Hi:

Being a home replacement and having crashed, you can't get to the home screen and therefore can't get to market. I was able to use voice control to uninstall Advanced Home launcher.

It seems that all of the home replacement software applications are very dangerous, not for the faint of heart. After going into the loop and doing more research, I saw reports of loops for all of them--Advancedlauncher, openhome, pandahome, GDE etc.

My constructive suggestion would be for the moderators to put up a sticky warning users to not install home replacements unless they're prepared to root or have replacement rams ready.

Given that Android 2.1 will be rolling out within the next couple of months it would seem prudent to avoid such havoc.

Wait, why can't you get to Market without original Home? It's in the drawer with everything else, even if you're running a home replacement. There's also a way to boot to your regular home screen after you've told it to use the home replacement by default. There's something in settings you have to change, but I forgot what it is. I'm sure if you look under Settings, common sense will tell you what to switch.

Hi:

Once I installed Advancedlauncher, it immediately crashed, bringing up a Force close dialog box asking you to touch OK. Once you touch OK, it comes up again and again and again. Restarting often took me into a reset loop. Taking out the battery and restarting brought me to a hideous purple screen and so on.

The features might be nice but not worth bricking my phone.

I know this is the wrong forum, but I can't find anything on Slidescreen force close loops.  I am completely stuck!  I can't get to anything, and I mean anything except to make an emergency call.  All I get is a black screen with the force close box that pops up. Can someone please help me out?
