Ford Sync

This made me feel so stupid, but it worked like a charm.  #1 - do the "reverse sync" as documented - you have to initiate the pairing from your phone, or it won't work.  #2 - ignore what the phone says about putting in a key like 'abcd' or '1234' - you have to put in a SIX DIGIT KEY, like '123456'. 
I never got any kind of popup or icon in the notifications bar or anything - it just worked and paired right up.  I hope that it keeps working.  I don't drive that car very often, but will try and let you know how things go.
By the way, on a Ford with the Nav system, it's a ~little~ different to do the reverse sync, but it's similar enough that you shouldn't have too much trouble making it work.
