Does anybody know if there is a cover for the keypad. Right now i have the cling plastic that was on the keypad when I bought the phone. I know that most peel it off immediately, but I like it up there. It's starting to come off and I was wondering if u can buy it anywhere.

Um... I'm going to go with no, you can't buy it anywhere. However, it's just plain old sticky plastic. If (for some reason) you decide you really do want a piece of plastic over the top of your keys you could always buy a screen protector, cut it into the shape you want, and then stick it to your keys.

Go to Best Buy and get a Zagg screen cover.  Its cut exactly to the dimensions of the Intercept for $20.  Its well worth the price, lifetime guaranteed and they will install it perfectly for you.  You can find videos on Youtube showing how strong the material is.  You can scratch it with keys and it won't tear through it.  I should be a salesman for Zagg huh?  lol

Lol. yeah... typical salesperson. You didn't even check what he wanted first. He wants something for the KEYBOARD not the screen ^^

Not  a fan with goingto a  take out and al is covered with seliphaine, to protect from grease.
it is a great idea, do not get me wrong to protect the keypad, because i do not want to get a ounce of liquid there as well, if outdoor fishing etc.

I a, sure there is a  heat shrink plastic to be found that can be  blown  with  mild heat to  wrap, but the problem I see, will  and may or not damage the sliding portion

SO it is  said to do as Poster above suggested. a screen protector they come in various mm hard andsoft. but may interfere when pressing.

good luck on yor search?

Kenny and Fish need to read their own posts before they hit Enter....to make sure it's on topic and/or even a coherent sentence.

Personally, I'd like to have harder keys instead of these rubbery keys.  They feel flimpy and I can feel the pins underneath them that creates the contact to the circuit board beneath.  I can see down the road having issues w/ worn down and buttons torn at the seams after a few years of use.

I left the plastic on the keys for about a week then pulled it off.  It might protect against scratches but no liquid.  I see the keys wearing out after a couple years, but who keeps a cell phone for more than 2 years anymore anyways? After that it's outdated tech and it's time to get a new contract and a better phone.

<---this guy keeps them for quick a while.  Unless they're free, I haven't seen a phone that I NEEDED bad enough to spend more than even $50 on.  I've been using both a 650(work phone) and 755p(personal) for quite a years...they just don't seem to die, I've upgraded the ROM's to keep them current and have been great for me.  Granted, the Intercept has some great apps, but nothing I couldn't live w/o...and this darn battery life is killing me.  I never would have even gotten the Intercept had the 7's rear speaker stopped working (which I literally just fixed, loose connection) after I ironically cancelled the insurance two days prior.

I always put my phones face down to so I don't accidently scratch the screens, and just today I put clear protectors on both the 755p and Intercept.

I agree with James and I also keep continue using my phones more than 2 years. It's a phone, the next phone is going to make phone calls in the exact same way.

Thanks to Virgin Mobile's $25 a month deal I may never be forced into a contract again. :)

How did this post end up on a Samsung Intercept forum when it was on the Moment forums?  Either way, I've got an Epic now...will be keeping this for a while as well, this thing is awesome.

Its not always good to use keypad cover some where down the line a low quality keypad cover harms the keys and so its always advisable to use a branded cover. But the question that arises is does it really work?

Just bought an Otterbox for my 8330 & loving it so far, the otter box as well..Ended up being a bit bulky for me.but I loved the keyboard cover..so now I have the body glove case and use the keyboard cover as well..Works great..I also don’t use the clip..I use a Bucket Boss phone holster during the week at work and use the phone "naked" with a nice leather holster on the week-ends.
