I haven't had any luck in finding a stand for the Intercept that can be used to sort of prop up the phone horizontally to watch videos while I have it sitting on a table or desk in front of me. Does anything like this exist? Or at least something close to it that would work well? Thanks.l

Body Glove makes a case has that feature you want:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0030D24NA/netmall05-20

The reviews on it are mixed.

Thanks! Looks a bit bulky and the last thing the Intercept needs is bulkiness added to it, lol. But all I want is the stand so I may get this and only attach the back part when needed.

Here was a hopeful start:

But no follow up on directions.

Interesting that no follow up on that in over 3 months ???. Would probably have to cut out a hole where the speaker is going to be to keep the sound from getting muffled.

Did you have it on the phone all the time? I don't really want any kind of protector for mine because I think the phone itself is bulky enough as it is. I just want a stand to attach to it when I want to sit it on my desk or table to watch videos. Too bad the Intercept didn't come with a nifty kickstand like the EVO did. I have an Archos 5 IMT and it has a built-in kickstand and it is SO handy.

Here is what I ordered to use with my Intercept, it's on it's way so I will let you know.  This gives you a couple battery powered speakers as wielkl as the stand.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370457474016&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

landscape mode will cover a bit of the speakers but that should be no big deal, kill two birds with one stone.

I bought the BodyGlove shortly after I got my phone, and the stand is a definite plus. But people are right about it... it makes the phone feel bulky.  Meh

I've been looking at this cute little black chair at this site, but am hesitant to get it.

I've been seriously considering taking a trip to my local Michaels craft store and getting some clay and some paints. I figure I can stick the phone in a Ziploc baggy to protect the phone while molding the clay. I'm no artist, but I might come up with something clever!  Tongue

Edit: Here's a list of 7 DIY stands! I'm sure there's tons more if you Google.

Interesting site, but why on earth are they selling styluses if the intercept goes by capacitance? I guess there is a sucker born every minute...

Oh wow lol. I never even thought about those things. Hrm, kinda makes me leery of getting anything from there since you've pointed that out. I've seen those lil chairs at other sites though.

Do they still put those in the pizza boxes? I normally get my pizza from Papa Murphy's, so it's take-n-bake. Definitely going to check into that though... very cool idea!

I looked at the stylus they are selling. The look an awfully lot like the iphone ones we sold at Sears a while back. You'll notice they are not pointy like a pen, but rather round like a finger. It's got something in the tip that makes the screen work as if your finger was on it. So... they are designed to work on a capacative screen, and I've had no issues with the one designed for the iphone when using it with my intercept. It's handy when it's really cold and you don't want to take your gloves off to make a call, assuming you can get the stylus out of your pocket without taking a glove off either...

"A standard stylus cannot be used for capacitive sensing unless it is tipped with some form of conductive material, such as anti-static conductive foam. However, capacitive styli—different from standard styli—can be used as well as finger input on capacitive screens"
