First post in this forum, I've been researching my problem for the last 2 days now so forgive me if I end up breaking some weird forum rule or something. Anyways.

I was in Sprint paying my bill and I asked them if they knew roughly when flash would be available for droid. I had 2 reps tell me flash was available for the Intercept in the droid 2.1 update. So I went home and did the update, no flash. Liars. Anyways, the camcorder is completely useless now. The video quality is garbage compared to what it used to be. I have the quality set to High (for SD card). This might not be a big deal to some people, but I frequently used my phone's video camera to upload videos to youtube since I don't own a video camera. Video quality is now comparable to that of the original LG Rumor I had about 5 years ago, wth. I thought maybe it was just playback on the phone so I mounted the vids to my pc and converted them to a very high quality AVI and they still look awful. They were awesome before the update. I can't find a camcorder app in the market that fixes this. I can't find a way to go back and flash my phone to the old CL14 update. Am I screwed? Any ideas?

Man! Thank you so much, that's extremely helpful, I looked for that for like 4 hours straight last night. Made my day man, I'll definitely be coming back to this forum. Thanks again.

After recording some video of my kids playing today and taking a look at the playback, I too noticed that the quality from the videos I took when my phone was on 1.5 to now under 2.1 has really gone to crap.  I replayed some of the videos taken under 1.5 and noticed that they were considerably better in quality than the video I took today.

I wonder if it has something to do with the still camera and video being consolidated into one app under 2.1 whereas in 1.5 the camera and video recorder were separate.  It's pretty disappointing that the update screwed this up.

Does anyone have the apk for the Intercept's camcorder app from 1.5?

The 1.5 apk will not work for the 2.1 ROM/Kernels. There however is a "fixed" apk of for the camcorder over at SDX. I came across a thread where as a dev released his fixed apk code so one would not have to install his custom ROM to benefit from the fix.

I am having a similar or maybe related issue.  I have only had my intercept for 2 weeks, and am VERY unfamiliar with how to do anything technical to my phone.  everything is stock.  I don't know what rooted means and am very green with android.  Ok that aside, here is my issue.  when i record a video or take a picture with the phone, I can't see them or replay them.  I find the files in my file manager, there usually is a "!" or something.  The videos say "error playing or cannot play" the pictures just don't show.  I am so frustrated and don't know where to look for answers.

The pictures that I transferred to the phone with the USB cord all work.  I just think that for what this phone costs and for the platform, I should be able to record a video or take a picture and be able to view and replay them on the phone.

any help or directions would be great, thank you!
