ok so this is going to be rather lengthy because i'm going to try to provide as much detail as possible....

ok so I was running 2.1 with apps2sd and wireless tethering...

I hit update PRL under about phone and the phone locked in on 1xx internet...it would not change to EVDO at all....tried everything...restarting....even re-flashing and it did not work...at the time I didn't know what had caused the problem...

so I go to sprint and tell them that my phone suddenly started locking into 1xx and that my gps wouldn't work....

they gave me a new phone and now less than 2 days into my new phone, I hit update PRL and the same thing happens....this is when I realize that this caused the problem....

no matter what I do it will not change back to EVDO at all....

I even tried flashing back to 1.5 and it did not work....

so my question is....how do I get back EVDO on my phone??

I was going to call sprint tomorrow but I thought I might post this in hopes somebody would be able to help....

thanks in advance....

stop doing PRL updates first off ;D

but have you tried a hard reset?? that may rollback the prl but im not positive....and i would think the sprint store would have troubleshooted it before giving you a new phone so there may not be anything to do

jaja yea maybe I'll try cutting down on the PRL updates :S

hard reset? how do I do that? well the sprint store said they would do a hard reset but I don't know if they ever tried it....

i'm thinking it might have something to do how my phone is set up with sprint? ? i'm just guessing at this point....

also....it shouldn't be this easy to mess up your phone....I mean there must be a way fix it.....

i'm going to call sprint today and see if i can get a techie to help me out......i'll also check out later the dialing codes and see if there is anything there that will help......i think i did check last time but can't remember...

thanks

actually i was looking for factory data reset..... menu > settings > privacy settings > factory data reset

but really thats probably not going to accomplish anything since you said you reflashed on the last phone and that didnt correct it...out of curiosity what does the PRL currently say under menu > settings > about phone > status > prl ??
