i get "unable to start tethering. Please try again!" error.....i restarted the phone three times already...and tried both methods of flashing the kernel....(recovery and adb shell)

i'm running ur kernel (about phone build number says vampirefo SDX-Final 2.0.1)

i'm running the official 2.1....and apps2sd....

before I flashed the kernel, i tried the apk and it was able to connect to my laptop but there was no internet.....now it won't even let me start tethering....
