ok---im using handccent sms and i like it but i have a person who keeps sending stupid texts so i put him on the BLOCK LIST. problem is it does not block anything. can anyone give me some info?

no. there is an option in handcent to add a number to a block list...but it doesnt work. other than calling sprint is there any other way?

yes. i used it yesterday to blacklist text messages from Mobile defence and it worked well. your phone will still recieve these text messages. just Handcent will not show them to you. The second you take them out of Black list. i believe all the texts that it hid show back up. The only way to block yourself from actually recieving the text messages al together is to log on to your Sprint account and block them that way, or call Sprint themselves. Hope you get your issue resollved.

Now a days there are specialized Apps in Android Market that specifically block and filter SMS (Text) messages from unwanted senders/numbers. Search term - SMS Filter - or - SMS Blocker - in Android Market or Appbrain and one should see many Apps that server this purpose.
