I am finally at a point where I have tweaked my Intercept to look like my own style, but now the new kid on the block is coming and I am wondering if 'that shiny new car' is just want or need for a faster one.

What are your thoughts?  Anyone buying one of these phones when it comes out?

Don't get me wrong, I love my Intercept, but I will be getting the EVO.  I love having the physical keyboard but I hate having a slider.  I have been drooling over the EVO ever since they announced it, it seems to do everything except direct connect.  Can anybody tell me why they have dropped the ball on direct connect?  Now if I only had 3g or even decent signal strength to start with on the CDMA side.  I have been carrying a Nextel Blackberry also because of the better coverage in this area on the iDEN side.
