How do I Listen to Streaming Audio: .pls, .ram, winamp, etc.?

OK, I've searched, but no answers make me happy.  I like to listen to non-music streamed audio and so far haven't found the magic that allows me to do so with the Intercept.  I tried downloading the RealAudio player, but even when I log onto a .ram stream, the app and the stream don't seem to "talk" to one another.

So, what will play iTunes or WinAmp style playlists, Windows Media, RealAudio, etc. or what do I have to do to associate the RealAudio player with .ram feeds?
