I'm a total cellphone newbie.
I've read this pinned post:
http://www.samsunginterceptforum.com/samsung-intercept-how-to/(how-to)-backup-your-phone/It confuses me. First, how do I know WHERE "c:\location\of\android-sdk-windows\" is??? Second, what is ZE10.1??
I'm assuming the above must be done while I've got the phone connected to computer via usb connection. Is that correct?
Lastly, to back up my data (exactly what does that cover?) - I opened phone to Android System Recovery like told (Vol down, Call/End buttons), but I do not have "Datatool restore" available to me!!
All I have available are: reboot system now, apply sdcard-update.zip, wipe data factory reset, and wipe cache partition.
Should I click on sdcard-update?
ACK!! How do I excit the system recovery mode/menu??? I can't even turn phone off now!I'm on an Android 2.1 system - is that why those directions don't work? If so - PLEASE direct me to directions to backup my system/data/memo's, etc, prior to updating to Android 2.2!
THANK YOU, from this desperate newb!

OR - is there an app that will do all this for me (pref. free)?
