I installed it and it works fine on mine. Takes a bit of getting used to. I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt though. for fellas with big hands like mine it might just be a life saver for messaging

If I may, which link did you use? The first one on the original post seems to be a .txt file (tried to download on the phone directly) as well as the other link which shows a parse error.

when i ttry to instsll this on my phone all it says is that the trial period has expired and or the screen size isnt supported. any ways around this?

i have a VM intercept and i do not see locale/text in settings. i did find it in language and ketboard however it will not work on mine. i get that screensixe message. Help?

I downloaded the swype and it works,  i am getting pretty good at it.  the more you use it the easier it gets. Smile

Starting 4/11/2011, Virgin Mobile USA is rolling out Froyo on Samsung Intercept. Swype Keyboard will be available by default in Froyo - Android 2.2

Hopefully, we all will start using Swype extensively after that. I probably will need a lot of practice to get used to it. AS always, our Samsung Intercept has physical QWERTY keyboard to fall back if we do not like to Swype or do not want to get used it.

I tried SlideIT Soft Keyboard too. It was fun to use but occupied 2 MB of precious RAM on my Samsung Intercept.

Finally, Froyo iwas released on 4/11/2011. Many of us received OTA Froyo update or many of us ddid it ourselves manually.

Swype Beta is now open.

Wow thanks for the info! I installed it n it works just fine. Been wondering what the swype is like. Its pretty nice but I'm still slow on it.
