 Cool

I'm furioussun, also known as danatheteacher. I am with Virgin Mobile. I had the Lg Rumor Touch before this.

I run blogs at Hubpages.com : "The Samsung Intercept Herd" and "LG Rumor Touch Hack Central".

During the day, I teach high school. I'm pretty much a geek by night.

I'm excited to get involved here!

Hello.  I am also on VM.  It's a pretty sweet deal that seems almost too good to be true.  But going with it.

I'm VM too.  This is my first smart phone.  I hope to use it as a GPS, and be able to google for info anytime and where.

Great to see all the VM users interested in the forums.  I myself
use Virgin Mobile and have to say it's the best bang for the buck
that I've found.

Welcome everyone!

Ordered mine this weekend. I use text and web more than talk minutes, so naturally I could not resist a deal like VM offers, and I am very exited about the phone

I've had several VM flip phones over the years, but this is my first experience with an Android phone.  I bought my Intercept about a week ago and it has operated perfectly in spite of weird quirks like contact grouping, time sync differences between Sprint and AT&T, and other small annoyances.  I will have to say, you can't beat the VM $25/month plan.  What a bargain.

Welcome to the forum Dana! I read your post and made the decision to buy Samsung Intercept (Thank God I did not purchase LG Optimus V - I almost made up my mind to go for LG Optimus V and then I accidentally stumbled upon your article)! I write all your articles and they are well thought / well researched / well written. Really useful articles!  Grin

http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Virgin-Mobile-Samsung-Intercept-is-a-Good-Buy-See-Why

There is need for a serious video guide that explains how to use each and every feature of Samsung Intercept hardware and Android Software. I guess people switched from either feature phone / i-phone / high end Android phone to Samsung Intercept and started finding faults (which was mostly impatience and ignorance of users - pardon me all those if I hurt your feelings!). Also, it was the stock home launcher App and Android 21 Eclair further bogged down the phone. Also, Virgin Mobile USA Data Network issues did not help the Samsung Intercept cause.

With 25 USD per month for unlimited SMS / MMS / Data and forthcoming Froyo, I am sure that Samsung Intercept will be the envy of Android Phone community. We would be able to compare performance of Samsung Intercept and LG Optimus V head to head on equal ground. I have put some of my comments regarding this comparison at (User name EdAndInn):

http://samsunginterceptforum.com/lg-optimus-v/267084-optimus-v-vs-vm-intercept.html

We will look forward to your guidance, tips on Android and Samsung Intercept, and inputs in general.
