Welcome to the forum Dana! I read your post and made the decision to buy Samsung Intercept (Thank God I did not purchase LG Optimus V - I almost made up my mind to go for LG Optimus V and then I accidentally stumbled upon your article)! I write all your articles and they are well thought / well researched / well written. Really useful articles!
http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Virgin-Mobile-Samsung-Intercept-is-a-Good-Buy-See-WhyThere is need for a serious video guide that explains how to use each and every feature of Samsung Intercept hardware and Android Software. I guess people switched from either feature phone / i-phone / high end Android phone to Samsung Intercept and started finding faults (which was mostly impatience and ignorance of users - pardon me all those if I hurt your feelings!). Also, it was the stock home launcher App and Android 21 Eclair further bogged down the phone. Also, Virgin Mobile USA Data Network issues did not help the Samsung Intercept cause.
With 25 USD per month for unlimited SMS / MMS / Data and forthcoming Froyo, I am sure that Samsung Intercept will be the envy of Android Phone community. We would be able to compare performance of Samsung Intercept and LG Optimus V head to head on equal ground. I have put some of my comments regarding this comparison at (User name EdAndInn):
