Is there any (free) way to boost the volume for my Android Samsung Intercept. I found a trial sound boost for the phone on the app market but it actually lowers the sound so i guess it's not compatable with the intercept. Anyone know of a way to do this for free. I love my phone except for the super low volume. I know they probably did this so no one sues them for ear damage like apple got sued.

I gave my Virgin Mobile Intercept to my daughter when I got the Optimus V, and she is always running around the house with her headphones on listening to her music on it. And, I am consistently telling her to turn it down. I can still hear that music coming from her headphones. From the living room, I can hear her text notifications coming in all the way from her bedroom with her door closed, and I'm constantly reminding her to put it on vibrate because she gets a bazillion texts within a minute during the day.  My roommates Intercept (through Sprint) is just as loud as hers. =(

The only app I can think of that might help is Quick Settings. If you're missing a volume setting somewhere then that might help you find it. If not, then there may possibly be an issue with your phone and you may have to return it for a replacement.

Quick Settings doesn't really boost media volume past the stock settings.  With the app PowerAmp (It's a MP3 app) you are able to boost individual settings through a touch screen equalizer, and also adjust volume within that, but it's not a free app.  They do have a free trial version though, maybe give that a try and see if it works for you.

That's not what I said. :) I said to try the app just in case he/she is missing a setting somewhere. There are six individual volume settings in Quick Settings, whereas the default sound settings only have four.
