If you need help rooting your Intercept, look no further. Ive rooted mine with no computer, free, and only took about 5 minutes. It's an .apk called "Intercept Root". All you have to do is go to google, type in "intercept root.apk, and download it. Once you've downloaded it, open the application and click root. It's that simple. After it is rooted and reboots, i would highly recomend flashing cm01 recovery to your intercept. It's included in the app and all you have to do is click it and it does the work for you. cm01 recovery is a great custom recovery. You'll need itto flash new ROM's and Kernels, and to back up your current ROM.

After you root, the first thing you should download is "Titanium Backup". There is a free version in the market. It allows you to backup all your app and app data. It also allows you to delete any app including system apps. Another app i would recomend downloading is "Rom Toolbox". It has multiple features in this app that are invaluable. It's also free in the market. The last app i would recomend is "CPU tuner". It allows you to overclock and underclock your device. It also allows you to make different profiles for different battery levels to save battery. It's free in the maket too, and is by far my favorite app
