Samsung Intercept - z4 Root Dosnt Work

I am a Virgin Mobile SI user
Just updated to 2.2 and tried rooting with z4 root
It didnt work: I would just keep "working". I got out of the program.

Did anyone else experience this?

Yep, everyone who tries experiences that, poor old z4root doesn't work anymore. Check the threads on "one click" rooting. I just used that to successfully root my newly updated VM 2.2 phone (not without a lot of hassles first finding a computer with a usb connection that would talk to my phone though).

phone connects via usb fine with backtrack 5 and with my friend's OS X machines. Windows 7 it won't work, no matter what you do for drivers, uninstalling drivers, looking at what usb devices you have and deleting some, nothing. It used to work with Windows 7 and then just quit.

Currently modifying the OneClickRoot so I can run it from backtrack or ubuntu. It worked well back when I had intermittent success connecting to Windows 7. Now lets see if I can regain control of my phone. Lost root when I went from 2.1 to 2.2.2.
