Personally I'd rather the release date get delayed until they've cleared out all the bugs (or as many as they possibly can) then for them to release it on time with many things still wrong with it. Yeah it's been really annoying having to wait so long, but our phones aren't TERRIBLE with 1.5 and they're even better if you flash it with one of the 2.1 ROMs that are available (I used DD03 because I heard about problems with DD10).

Plus they said second quarter. We're still in the second quarter. Technically we still have another month of this quarter.

the way i see it, if these roms that were leaked are as usable as they are in present form, i would think the progress that has been made on the official 2.1 update since then would be at least as good.... likely better.  I just hope this damned update will be worth the wait, cuz there are many very aggravated people between the intercept and hero uses including myself...

Fast forward to December '10, and we have an official 2.2 for the Sprint based Intercepts ;)
I'm glad we're not being left behind like the Moment users.

Yeah I'm a Moment user and it sucks that our phones were such a fail that they were completely abandoned. My wife got 2.2 on her Intercept and it runs much smoother. In all honestly, though, my Moment still does run better than her Intercept. Not by much but it doesn't freeze when trying to answer a call nearly as much as hers does.

It's just sad that the Moment was so awesome before it came out.... then it came out. Then there were all kinds of bugs and hardware issues. Then it was discontinued like 6 months after it was released. That's just pathetic. There are people still buying the G1 and that was the very first Android phone.... yet the Moment couldn't even last a year. I know I will never buy another Samsung phone again. I'm getting rid of my Moment and my wife is getting rid of her Intercept as quick as we possibly can get Evo's.
