2.1 update comfirmed

What's up fellow intercept owners I just spoke to my close friends that is a store manger at a sprint store in nj n he has just told me that android 2.1 will not be coming out until either may or june if u guys feel like I do I'm pissed lol sorry for da bad news ppl Lips are sealed

Okay guys. I work at Radio Shack and was going to call my Sprint Rep today to clear this up... lucky for me, I didn't have to, he was in the store! Yay! So I asked him when the update's coming.

He said, and I quote, "Near the end of April". I even specifically asked about April 9th. He said that was only a rumor and not happening.

Do I believe him? Not sure. This WOULD be a fairly hush-hush thing if he knew, so he might try and throw me off track. But, I trust his word most of the time, so I'm not getting too hyped for April 9 or 11, like some other places are saying.

Just thought you guys might wanna know.

well, I don't think there really is a date that it's set to be released - they are in the process of squashing all the bugs and as soon as it's clean it will launch. The beta tester I've talked to has said that there are only a few bugs left - so yeah, my guess would be around the end of the month.

The beta tester also said that the Hero and the Intercept are not on the same schedule and if they do get released together it would be strictly a coincidence.
