Android 2.1 release scheduled for 3/31

I work in Sprint ATS, and I've been informed that the official release date of 2.1 for the intercept is March 31.

um your link is of some random post on samsunginterceptforum.com....which xda members are you referring to also?

I'm not going to hold my breath either....I've not known Sprint or Samsung to be very timely with updates. The latest announcements have been "early Q2", but I'm still banking on the original "1H2010" announcement to mean we'll _finally_ get the update in June.

I was told the end of March back in December by a very knowledgeable technician in a corporate store.

I have no doubt that we will see it around the end of March :D

that 26th is in reference to the Hero....the author of that post also posted similar info here on our forums it should be right below this post.....the intercept is rumored to get the update on the 31st

i feel the original author may be spot on

When the Feb rumor came out, Sprint had posted that it was not true within a couple of days. They have not done so with this "rumor". Sound promissing. We will have to wait if they TP2 update pans out first.

i'm going to confirm the march 31st release of the update based on what a friend has told me. he works for sprint as a hardware tester (tests and debugs software and hardware issues with unreleased devices...e.g. a certain htc device that is going to kick rectum which i was able to fiddle with and explore for a few hours). His words: "late march for sure" regarding 2.1. and yes, i was fortunate to play with the rooted developers 2.1. alot of neat bells and whistles. i.e. live wallpapers, and other little things that will enhance the android os experience in both subtle and not so subtle ways
