Probably, experienced Android users already know this. This is for new Android Users.
Many times, while typing SMS (Text Message) or E-Mail, we type many native language words or slang or the words that are not in English Dictionary. When we type this new word e.g. Vonage, it will appear in the predictor list. Simply long-press the word you typed in in the predictor and it will add it to User Dictionary.
How to view/manage user dictionary?
Press Home Key
Press Menu Key
Select Settings
Select language & keyboard
Select User Dictioanry
Voila! You shall see your words in there. If you press Menu key again, it provides you Add option to add new words directly. If you tap on any work, it provides you edit and delete options.
There is also an APp for this - User Dictionary Manager (UDM) allows you to edit/export/import/delete/clean the user dictionary words on your Android phone.
I think this will come in very handy for everybody who has to type alot of text in mails, SMSes, etc.
With the help of the User Dictionary Manager application you can export your defined words and import them on another phone - for example, sharing with friends and colleagues.
