Thank you very much! This worked well for me too! Saves the effort and time for powering off and on the phone. Lol! Should have searched the Forum for this solution when I lost the data connection first time. Usually, one loses data connection on the road where there is no access to forums (Data connection not workind and no web access).
Android Assistant App has Airplane Mode on off function. I would recommend all to give it a try. It is under Tools tab in Android Assistant.
Also, from use following to turn on off Airplane mode:
Press Home Key
Press Menu Key
Tap Settings
Tap Wireless & Networks
Tap Airplane Mode to turn it on.
After 2-3 seconds, Tap Airplane Mode to turn it off.
