Great App!
Does Juice Defender itself consumes battery as it needs to be running all the time? I heard that Task Killers or App Monitors too need to be always running. They do consume power if they are running all the time.

While it's true that programs like Juice Defender use power because they are always running, they save a lot more than they consume due to the fact that it shuts off functions of the phone when it's locked. JD nearly doubled my battery life when it was set to disable 3G, wifi, gps, sync, and several other functions when locked. Tradeoff was that I didn't get any other notifications, since it could only look for e-mail and other items when the phone was awake. I uninstalled Juice Defender, and installed a widget "Dazzle", which lets me toggle just about all the power hungry items on the phone manually. So for instance, I don't need to get e-mail while at my second job, I turn off 3G, sync, etc, and I can make it long past my shift. My day job is OK to get e-mails, so I leave those on while there, and plug in during lunch and breaks.
