Yes I agree!  I mentioned in another post that I had experimented and found that the stock launcher that comes with the phone is slow in loading icons when switching from running an app like the browser back to home screen but with the GO LAUNCHER EX I find the icons load much faster!!  Its just a more responsive app! And its free! Doesn't seem to draw anymore battery too.  To experiment:  you can go to Applications then Manage Applications then GO LANCHER EX and scroll down add Press Clear defaults and you can now use the Stock Launcher

I'm a little confused on the last part of this. So the go launcher ex needs to be downloaded from the android market? Or is this already on my phone?

So danny k do you have froyo update on your phone yet-? Green power fRee didn't seem to help save any battery for me and I used the settings that you said you used. I fully charged my battery yesterday and it was about 5 when it was done.and now its 1230 and the yellow light is on the battery. Again I have moderately used my phone for texting mostly. Some internet activity but not excessive

You may have too many apps running in the backround, if that's the case no data saver will save your battery usage. You can fireup the taskmanager that came with your froyo 2.2 and click on memory 2 and clean memory or on the same task manager go to active applications and kill those.

I have checked the Task manger on my phone and it says the only application running is the Green Power Free. It did say that the background apps don't show up? How do I know what background apps are running. I found out to hit the back button to exit apps instead o home, as this puts them in the background and doesn't close them. I have been doing that lately since I found out about it.

Do you think it could be my battery itself is just not that good? I'm using the battery that came with the phone.

Also where can I find out what the power control icons mean? I searched google a bit last night, didn't see anything. I know what a couple of them are. Maybe I'll just look in my phone manual. It could be there. I have read some of the manual but not all.

Maybe you should  try and download the advanced taskmanager by Infolife llc. I use it and it kills and sees more apps than the task manager that came with the froyo 2.2 update.
